Stitches follows Chike Obi, a Nigerian-Canadian tailor, through a single overnight shift as eviction closes in and as the past he thought he'd folded away walks back through the door. Threading humour and ache in equal measure, this is a warm, realistic ode to resilience, forgiveness and what it takes to stitch a life back together.

Connecting
Threads

Stitches is created by Playwright-Director auteur Ola Olaoluwa. He hopes this story of needles, threads, and hopes becomes a conversation starter in the halls of Grande Prairie Live Theatre and across the Grande Prairie community.

Produced by ReelPoint Studios, the play will have its world premiere on December 18, 2026. A second show follows on December 19. As Ola’s Christmas gift to you, tickets for both shows are FREE to experience live at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre. Enjoy community theatre at its seamless best.

“Compelling. Accomplished in its worldbuilding. It’s so easy to get immersed in the tailoring world the play is set in.”
